He is the founding developer of the popular open-source blogging software WordPress and writes a popular blog Photo Matt. After quitting his job at CNET, he has devoted the majority of his time to developing a number of open source projects and is a frequent speaker at conferences. In late 2005, he founded Automattic, the business behind WordPress.com and Akismet.
Jim Kukral
Jim Kukral is an award-winning blogger, speaker, marketer and web coach. For over 10+ years, Jim Kukral has been helping both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies figure out how to make money and find success online. Noel Jackson
Noel is an übergeek, designer, and developer. Pulled from the depths of freelance design, he now works for Automattic, Inc. He loves the internet and dreams in HTML quite frequently. A self-proclaimed polymath, Noel was once a secret agent, fashion photographer, and ran a successful post-production studio in NYC. When not pushing pixels and babbling about regexes, he’s probably listening to music (300 LPs and 250 gigs in all), DJing, or creating something (generative art is a favorite as of late). He lives in Detroit with his beautiful wife Stephanie, a fish named Hiro, and a chinchilla named Elvis.
Alex Brown
Alex Brown is a partner in the Bricker & Eckler business law group and chair of the technology and intellectual property groups. He practices business transactional law, with an emphasis on transactions involving technology, software and intellectual property. He serves as outside counsel to a number of companies, from startup businesses to international financial institutions. Other areas of his practice include intellectual property asset protection, emerging business and counsel for boards and executives.
Vladimir Belo
Vladimir Belo is a partner in the Bricker & Eckler employment and labor group and the litigation and appellate practice group. In 2009, he became certified as an Appellate Law Specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association.
Jane Wells
Her fellow Automatticians call her the UI Goddess. Prior to joining Automattic, Jane ran a media research/usability lab in New York and served as director of user experience strategy at Schematic. She’s lived everywhere, had jobs ranging from massage therapist to dude ranch cook (before her ten years in the web industry), and puts herself in the shoes of our users whenever possible. Literally… she’s always losing her sandals.
Angela Siefer
Angela envisions a world in which all members of society have the tools and the resources to use the Internet for the betterment of themselves and their communities. Angela calls herself the Founder and Chancellor of Shiny Door (big insight into her personality there). Shiny Door provides social networking workshops and guidance to small businesses and nonprofits hesitant of social networking’s value and uncertain how to use social networking tools. Angelo Mandato
Angelo Mandato is the CIO of RawVoice Inc., the parent company of the Blubrry Podcasting Community. Angelo has been developing podcasting and new media web sites at RawVoice since 2005 and is the lead developer of the Blubrry Powerpress Wordpress podcasting plugin. In his free time, Angelo hosts Plugins, the Wordpress Plugins podcast and is one of the lead organizers for PodCamp Ohio.
Cheryl Harrison
Cheryl is a Marketing Coordinator at People To My Site, a leading Columbus-based Marketing firm, and a soon-to-be graduate of Capital University – majoring in Public Relations with minors in Political Science and Journalism. In the past she has worked with the Ohio Democratic Party as an elected leader of the Ohio College Democrats, CD101 in promotions, OhioHealth in media relations and internal communications, Priceline.com in operations, Box.net in regional marketing and Capital University Theatre in public relations. Cheryl currently serves as the Capital liason for the Public Relations Student Society of America planning the 2009 PaRtners Conference and the Director of New Media for the Ohio Young Democrats. D. Brent Miller
D. Brent Miller has been online since 1983 starting with a Tandy Model 100. He produced his first web site in 1996, and today manages two web sites for his photography and travelogue using WordPress. He also adds podcasting to the mix of writing and photography on the travelogue.
Miller is a writer and photographer living in the Cincinnati area. He has written for newspapers and magazines, and is a former professor of journalism and photojournalism. He has been self-employed since 1993, and produces fine art photography as well as serving customers as a commercial photographer. He is currently working on several book projects—a never ending task.

Bobby Whitman

Bobby has a degree in mathematics from Xavier University and began his PhD work in the same field at Purdue University. In real life, he co-founded dynamIt prior to any of that and has worked to create intelligent and efficient web for years. dynamIt is a web engineering and design firm based in Columbus, Ohio working with clients around the state, country and world. Bobby leads development and is constantly pushing to shape web into solutions that are both progressive and effective.
Harrison Watson
Harrison currently works for eRetailing Associates and is the head of the Social Networking department. Along with running the social networking for eRetailing he also has a background in SEO and blogging and runs helps control the blogs for Customized Girl. He also runs his own blog eSpire that deals with social networking and focuses mainly on twitter.
Harrison also currently is working on The Flag Lady’s Flag Store ecommerce division to help expand and grow their online presence to a national level. While doing all of this Harrison is also working on his Bachelors degree in the Internet Marketing field. And plans on taking his experiences with the Internet and putting them to good use by helping small businesses grow their online presence.

Alaina Sheer, aka Ms. Single Mama
